NICK MURRAY

Nick worked with me on the Sister Boniface series. My first impressions of Nick were how helpful and collaborative he was going to be.  I wasn’t wrong.  We had an extremely limited budget, which added a lot of stress on all departments. Nick quite rightly wanted to ‘freshen’ sets up and find new locations that would work better for the show.  Nick is extremely creative and was always producing some great ideas on how we would achieve all of this.  He works very hard and will ALWAYS go beyond his title and get stuck in.  I saw him first thing on the floor and last at night.  He was there early to make sure we were happy at all times and everything was as we had hoped for.  He would regularly go and purchase props at the weekend in his own time, simply because he had a great idea and knew it would fit in well with the show. I often saw Nick dress props on set, always with a smile, and may I add, never stepping on anyone’s toes.  Everyone knew Nick had a good heart and wanted the best. He was great to have around with his lovely scent of humour, and his huge amount of passion.  May I also add that he ran a tight ship and could tell you exactly where the money was being spent at all times.  Nick will never let you down as Production Designer.  He made a huge difference to our series.
